Nekyia Veche

Nekyia Veche is the solo musical project by multi instrumentalist, composer and producer Brandon Harrison. Formed in the early 2010's, this project is primarily focused on electronic productions in the house and electro-house genres. Brandon is currently based in Chicagoland. 

Brandon took an interest in music at a very young age, with his parents buying him his first acoustic guitar at a garage sale in the Seattle area when we was six years old. It wasn't until he was eleven that he began taking formal lessons, which he continued for the next several years. During this time, played in various local garage bands as he honed his craft, primarily writing rock and alternative songs. After largely taking a break from music for a few years during college, Brandon rekindled his love of writing and recording when he bought cheap four-track cassette recorder and acoustic/electric Ibanez guitar and began producing primarily folk-style acoustic songs. 

After college in the mid 2000s, Brandon and his fiancee (now wife) moved to Reno, Nevada to start their careers, where Brandon continued to write and began performing at local coffee shops. During this period, he began to explore a more formal recording process and upgraded his production equipment to include a Tascam digital 64 tracker and started composing more intricate, layered songs. This was also when Brandon began listening to a lot more electronic music, mainly in the house and eletro-house styles. Some of Brandon's early influences include Daft Punk, The Crystal Method, DeadMau5 and Paul Oakenfold.  

Brandon's interest in electronic music turned more serious after seeing several live shows and he became increasingly curious about how such music was made and wanted to explore making the transition from rock/folk to the more technology-centric style of EDM. Almost fifteen years later, Brandon has produced and released two EPs, a handful of singles and his first LP in 2025.
